The Leadership Team
paleoCAMP is organized by a team of six paleoclimatologists, representing a diversity of proxy approaches to past climate reconstruction, timescales of interest, and laboratory, field, and statistical methods.

Dr. Tierney is a Professor in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona. She specializes in biomarker-based reconstructions of past climate and statistical techniques. She is a medalist and Fellow of the American Geophysical Union and lead author on the IPCC AR6 Working Group 1 assessment report. Learn more about Dr. Tierney
Dr. Kathleen Johnson
Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth System Science at the University of California, Irvine. She specializes in using speleothems to reconstruct past hydroclimate change. She is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America and President-Elect of the AGU Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology section. Learn more about Dr. Johnson
